managers, <strong>and</strong> the mining manager, all of whom will assume responsibility for completingthe Project successfully, using the following strategies.For the surface facilities, the execution strategy reflects a single EPCM contractorapproach to manage project execution. Under the direction of a constructionmanagement team (CMT), field construction contractors, will commence work afterengineering <strong>and</strong> procurement tasks are well-advanced.For underground development, the feasibility level design will be updated by a selectedmining design firm. After substantial completion of the design update has beencompleted, a mining contractor will be engaged to perform all decline, drift, raise, <strong>and</strong>infrastructure development.The Project will transition from the study phase to basic engineering in Q3 2013 <strong>and</strong> willmove forward in the following phases:• Stage l – early works including mine development, the EAC application,permitting, access road upgrades, preliminary power transmission line ROW,basic engineering, <strong>and</strong> the procurement of long-lead equipment.• Stage ll – full project execution (following permit approval), including detailedengineering, procurement, construction team mobilization, construction, <strong>and</strong>commissioning.Upon completion of the feasibility study phase <strong>and</strong> project sanction, Stage I will begin<strong>and</strong> will focus on permitting, basic engineering, preliminary infrastructure works, <strong>and</strong>procurement of long delivery equipment to maintain the targeted project completionschedule.
