18.0 PROJECT INFRASTRUCTURE18.1 OVERVIEWThe Project will require the development of a number of infrastructure items, both on-siteand off-site. The locations of project facilities and other infrastructure items wereselected to take advantage of local topography, accommodate environmentalconsiderations, avoid avalanche hazards, and ensure efficient and convenientunderground crew shift change by locating the mine dry in close proximity to the mineportal. An overall site layout is shown in Figure 18.1 and a mill site layout is shown inFigure 18.2.Project facilities and infrastructure at the Brucejack site will include:• an upgraded 79 km access road at Highway 37 and travelling westward toBrucejack Lake with the last 12 km of access road to the mine site traversingthe main arm of the Knipple Glacier• a 138 kV power supply line from the substation at Long Lake Hydro Substationto the Brucejack site substation• site roads and pads• water management infrastructure, including diversion ditches for both contactand non-contact water, interceptor ditches, and water storage ponds and pumpsto direct water to a water treatment plant• water treatment infrastructure, to treat underground infill water to a watertreatment plant to treat and distribute process and fire water• potable water and sewage treatment infrastructure• waste management systems, including sewage disposal and domestic wastedisposal• ancillary facilities including: on site fuel storage on site explosive storage detonator magazine storage temporary and permanent camp accommodations with recreation area,commissary and laundry facilities heli-pad laydown areaPretium Resources Inc. 18-1 1291990200-REP-R0012-02Feasibility Study and Technical Report on the BrucejackProject, Stewart, BC
