SBT has the ability to mobilize cranes with up to a 200 ton capacity <strong>and</strong> can h<strong>and</strong>lebarges with up to a 5,000 t capacity. Barges must have permanent or portable rampsavailable. Currently, Wainwright Marine Services provides charter barge service <strong>and</strong>operates out of Prince Rupert.TRANSPORT VIA TRACKED VEHICLESAt the Knipple Transfer Station, all equipment <strong>and</strong> supplies will be received <strong>and</strong>transferred on husky tracked vehicles. These vehicles will transport the equipment <strong>and</strong>supplies along the Knipple Glacier to the mine site. All cargo must fit within the followingguidelines in order to accommodate transport to the site via tracked vehicles:length not to exceed 11,600 mmwidth not to exceed 2,600 mmweight not to exceed 36,000 kg.Vendors are being informed of these limitations so equipment can be manufactured ormodularized to allow for transport. Due to limited loads on tracked vehicles, largeequipment will need to be delivered to the site in manageably sized sections <strong>and</strong>assembled on site.19.3.2 CONCENTRATE TRANSPORTATIONBased on the current marketing arrangements, the concentrate will be destined for theHorne Smelter operation which is located in Nor<strong>and</strong>a, Québec. This facility receivesconcentrate via rail in open top gondola railcars. The concentrate will be loaded in 2 tbags for shipment from the Brucejack site. The bags will be being transported viatracked vehicles to the Knipple Transfer Station. The bags will be unloaded <strong>and</strong>transferred to st<strong>and</strong>ard Highway B-Train flat-decks for shipment via the Brucejack AccessRoad, Highway 37, <strong>and</strong> then Highway 16 to Terrace. The bags will be received in Terrace,inventoried, <strong>and</strong> then broken to allow for the bulk loading of railcars. The estimatedtransit time from Terrace to the Horne Smelter is 13 days. A built for purpose transloadfacility will need to be constructed for the Project.
