Fresh Water Supply SystemFresh water will be supplied to a fresh/fire water storage tank from the water treatmentplant or from Brucejack Lake. Fresh water will primarily be used for:• fire water for emergency use• cooling water for mill motors and mill lubrication systems• gland water for the slurry pumps• reagent make-up• process water make-up.The fresh/fire water tank will be equipped with a standpipe, which will ensure that thetank is always holding at least a 2 hour supply of fire water. There will be two potable water supply systems – one located in theprocess/administration/truck shop complex, and one at the camp. Potable water will besupplied from wells, and will be treated (chlorination and filtration) and stored in thepotable water storage tanks prior to delivery to various service points.Process Water Supply SystemThe overflow solutions from the concentrate thickener and tailings thickener will be reusedin the process circuit. The balance of the process water will be supplied from thewater treatment plant, which will treat water from the mine (underground water) andwater collected from the plant site or from Brucejack Lake, as required. All process waterrequired will be distributed to the process plant from an 8.0 m diameter by 8.0 m highprocess water tank.AIR SUPPLYAir service systems will supply air to the following service areas:• Crushing circuit – high-pressure air will be provided by an air supply systemlocated underground for dust suppression and equipment services.• Dust collection at the transfer tower and SAG mill surge bin – high-pressure airwill be provided by dedicated compressors for dust suppression.• Flotation – low-pressure air for flotation cells will be provided by air blowers.• Filtration circuit – high-pressure air will be provided by dedicated aircompressors for filtration and drying.• Plant air service – high-pressure air will be provided by dedicated aircompressors for the various services.• Instrumentation – the service air will come from the plant air compressors andwill be dried and stored in a dedicated air receiver.Pretium Resources Inc. 17-14 1291990200-REP-R0012-02Feasibility Study and Technical Report on the BrucejackProject, Stewart, BC
