INTERNAL ARCHITECTURAL ITEMSMany of the buildings that will be pre-engineered or constructed with a post and beamdesign will need a certain amount of architectural material within each structure, such aswashroom, offices, mine dry, etc. These items were quantified and priced separately ona building by building basis.18.8.2 MILL SITE INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITY DESCRIPTIONMILL BUILDINGThe mill building will be a pre-engineered steel building with insulated roof and walls. Itwill be supported on a concrete spread footing with concrete grade walls along itsperimeter. The building floor will be a concrete slab-on-grade, and will be sloped towardssumps for cleanup operation. Heavy equipment with dynamic loads housed in the millbuilding will be supported on a concrete foundation isolated from other buildingcomponents.The ground-floor level will house the process equipment, fresh and fire water tank, assaylaboratory, warehouse, mine dry, wickets and lamp room, truck shops, first aid, fire truckand ambulance parking, and maintenance shop. A lean-to will be provided for thetailings thickener and covered parking.Interior steel platforms on multiple levels will be provided to support process equipmentand to meet ongoing operation and maintenance needs. Elevated concrete floors will beprovided to house administration, mine dry, offices, and control rooms.ASSAY AND METALLURGICAL LABORATORIESThe assay and metallurgical laboratories will house all necessary laboratory equipmentfor metallurgical grade testing and control. The lab will be equipped with all appropriateHVAC and chemical disposal equipment as needed. The facility floor will be reinforced asneeded to accommodate specialized equipment.WAREHOUSE FACILITYThe warehouse facility will house a mill shop, electrical and instrumentation shop,mechanical room, and tool crib.MINE DRYThe mine dry will be constructed to accommodate 450 people, each with individuallockers and hanging baskets. The wicket and lamp rooms will be adjacent to the minedry and alongside the covered parking, where underground personnel will be transportedto and from the underground mine.TRUCK SHOPThe truck shop will include bays for heavy and light equipment, a welding bay, and awash bay complete with pressure washer. collect waste water during maintenance operations. A floor hardener will be applied toconcrete surface on high-traffic areas. Steel inserts will be embedded into the concretein areas where tracked vehicles will be driven. A 5 t overhead crane will service thisfacility.FIRST AIDThe first aid and emergency response facility will include parking for a fire truck and anambulance. A helicopter pad will be located close to the facility for any medicalevacuation requirements.ADMINISTRATIONThe administration will be constructed on the second floor above the mine dry.CONVEYINGConveyors will be vendor-supplied systems and will include all structural support frames,trusses, bents, and take-up structures. Elevated conveyor systems will be supported onvendor supplied steel trusses spanning between steel bents on concrete spread footings,or supported from building trusses.CAMP FOR CONSTRUCTION PHASE AND OPERATIONSThe current exploration camp includes a kitchen and dormitories, and can accommodate180 people. Two dormitories will be demolished to allow for construction of the new millpad, reducing the current camp capacity to 120. The new permanent camp willaccommodate 330 people and will include an additional kitchen, and recreation andexercise facilities. The new camp and remaining exploration camp will have a combinedcapacity of 450 people during construction. Once construction is complete, thepermanent camp will be refurbished for use during operations.ON-SITE EXPLOSIVES STORAGETwo pre-fabricated Sea Can-type structures will house the explosives storage and will belocked at all times to prevent unauthorized access. This storage facility will be located1.5 km northeast of the mill building. Access to the explosives storage will be by roadand the facility will be controlled by a locked gate.DETONATOR MAGAZINE STORAGEA pre-fabricated Sea Can-type structure will house the detonator magazine storage andwill be locked at all times to prevent unauthorized access.
