The Gossan Hill deposit remains openalong strike, across strike, <strong>and</strong> at depth.SHORE ZONEThe Shore Zone is a relatively small gold-silver deposit located along the northeasternshore of the peninsula that extends into the west end of Brucejack Lake (Figure 7.7 <strong>and</strong>Figure 7.8).This zone is characterized by deformed quartz veins <strong>and</strong> quartz vein stockworks up to100 m in length, which are hosted in deformed <strong>and</strong> quartz-sericite-pyrite alteredtrachy<strong>and</strong>esite, s<strong>and</strong>stone <strong>and</strong> pebble conglomerates of the lower Hazelton Group. Thezone has a strike length of approximately 530 m <strong>and</strong> a maximum width of 50 m. Thenorthwest-southeast trend of the zone is coincident with a pronounced lineament thatextends south-eastward from the Brucejack Fault beneath Brucejack Lake, <strong>and</strong> which islikely a fault.
