16.3.3 STOPE SEQUENCEThe mining sequence in any lens of a given block begins with the extraction of theprimary stopes on the first (lowest) level. Wherever possible, the first primary stope willbe located near the middle of the lens to develop a pattern of stope extraction thatmoves outwards to the extremities of the lens while progressing upwards towards thetop. This generally promotes a favourable redistribution of ground stress, although manysmaller lenses in the Brucejack orebody are either irregular in shape or of insufficientdimensions to properly develop this sequence.When the adjacent primary stopes from the level above have been filled and cured,secondary stoping will commence.
