5.2 Import 5.2.1 Importing from .txt files The objects included in the BSA Flow Software main package are described in this chapter. Objects included in Add-ons are described in chapter 6 under the Add-on. Objects associated with Options are also described in chapter 6 under the Option. The Import object is used to import data from .txt files, with data organised in columns. The import procedure is similar to the one used in spreadsheet programs. This is described in section 5.2.1. It is also possible to import from .par files (from old Dantec Dynamics DOS based software: BURSTware, FLOware, SIZEware). This is described in section 5.2.2. Figure 5-2 File Import properties for .txt files For .txt files, only the File name property is used. For .par files the other properties must be set according to section 5.2.3. Clicking on the value field of the File name property opens a dialog for specifying the path, file name and file type. Select .txt as file type. 5-2 BSA Flow Software: Project explorer objects
