5.13.2 Objects under Merge object<br />

Any objects can be created under the merge object. A child object created<br />

under the merge object will see the data as a unique data set without any<br />

position information. The Arrival Time (AT) of each particle is kept as the<br />

Arrival Time measured from the beginning of the acquisition in each<br />

position.<br />

Warning After the merge object, calculations involving the Arrival Time or effective<br />

measurement time, like Data Rate, liquid flux <strong>and</strong> particles concentration<br />

have no meaning. The Arrival Time is measured from the beginning of each<br />

position <strong>and</strong> the duration of the traverse displacement is unknown.<br />

For example, the moment object will calculate a unique mean velocity or a<br />

unique mean diameter for all positions.<br />
