5.13 Merge 5.13.1 Properties The Merge Object merges data from multiple positions into a unique data set. Data from different positions is appended after each other, without sorting data. The same position can be repeated several times to change its statistical weight. The positions to merge can be selected using the Position indices property of the Merge Object. For selecting positions use a syntax where different position indices are separated by commas, and ranges of positions are defined by a dash. If the Position indices include an invalid charachter, the following error is displayed. 5.13.2 Objects under Merge object Any objects can be created under the merge object. A child object created under the merge object will see the data as a unique data set without any position information. The Arrival Time (AT) of each particle is kept as the Arrival Time measured from the beginning of the acquisition in each position. Warning After the merge object, calculations involving the Arrival Time or effective measurement time, like Data Rate, liquid flux and particles concentration have no meaning. The Arrival Time is measured from the beginning of each position and the duration of the traverse displacement is unknown. Figure 5-65 Example of object structure under merge object.
