Invalid particles<br />

in the corners The validated particles are inside the acceptance b<strong>and</strong>. The red dots are the<br />

invalid particles. The invalid particles in the upper left <strong>and</strong> right corner <strong>and</strong><br />

in the bottom right corner are too small particles to be validated or the<br />

signals are too noisy. By reducing the sensitivity of the PDA system (gain,<br />

PM High Voltage or Laser power, the number of particles in the corners is<br />

reduced but in the other h<strong>and</strong>, the system is not able to detect the smallest<br />

particles (no particles in the bottom left corner).<br />

Wrong selected mask If the phase plot looks like similar to the following plot, please check that the<br />

mask mounted in the mask corresponds to the one defined in <strong>BSA</strong> software<br />

(receiver optical properties)<br />
