3.4.1 Installing game controller The traverse can be driven by a USB Game controller. • Plug the Game controler to the USB port of the PC. It should be automatically detected by the PC. • The game controler may need to be calibrated. Go to the controle pannel and do a double mouse click on Game controllers. • If the Game controller needs to be calibrated, click on settings and follow the instruction. • Do a mouse rigth click on the traverse driver icon. Select manual control and Game controller to enable it 3.5 Installing 57G15 Traverse interface 3.5.1 Installing a GPIB board The 57G15 traverse interface requires a GPIB interface in the PC. For cable connections, please refer to the manual for the 57G15 traverse interface. Components The GPIB communication package is described by the suppliers packing list but comprises at least the following items • PCI-GPIB/TNT (or other) IEEE 488.2 communications board manufactured by National Instruments - a Plug & Play card is strongly recommended • GPIB communications cable of proper quality, length not exceeding 4 m • Installation software for communications driver from National Instruments, which suits the Windows version. • Installation and User's Guide documentation.
