Disconnect the receiving fiber V1 from the back panel of the DualPDA
detector unit. Exchange the 488nm (blue) interference filter with a 514.5nm
(green) in following instructions above (chapter 7.5.3). One extra 514.5nm
filter is supplied with every DualPDA detector unit.
Connect the detector unit, receiving fiber and processor
The four receiving fibers from the DualPDA probe have to be connected
according to the label of the fiber and detector unit connectors. The first
three photomultiplier (with the 3 green interference filters) have to be
connected to the first three input channels of he processor. The fourth
photomultiplier (with the blue interference filter) has to be connected to the
fourth input channel of the processor.
Select FiberPDA in the BSA flow software.
Configure and use the BSA flow application software for a FiberPDA
receiving probe.
7.6 A guide to define the PDA optical configuration:
Installation
The PDA optical configuration is an Excell spreadsheet allowing
determining the best scattering angle and the scattering mode to be used for a
given application. The PDA optical configuration spreadsheet is avalaible
with particle sizing add-on only.
and getting started The Excel spreadsheet is automatically installed in C:\Program Files\Dantec
Dynamics\BSA Flow Software when the application software is installed. It
requires Excell to be installed on the PC.
The PDA Optical configuration guide is launched from the Tools menu, in
Plug-Ins (see figure Figure 7-61).
