4.10.2 Configuring an LDA or PDA system<br />

After installation of the Ethernet card <strong>and</strong> the <strong>BSA</strong> <strong>Flow</strong> <strong>Software</strong>:<br />

1. Go to “Start”, “Settings”, “Control Panel”<br />

2. Open “Network Dial-up Connections”<br />

3. Right mouse click on Local Area Connection, open “Properties”<br />

4. Click on TCP/IP, then “Properties”, click on “Use following IP address”<br />

5. Enter: IP address 10.10.100.25 Subnet mask 255.0.0.0<br />

6. Click “OK” <strong>and</strong> you may need to restart the computer.<br />

7. Turn on the <strong>BSA</strong> processor <strong>and</strong> wait for the “ready” light to come on.<br />

8. Open “Control panel” <strong>and</strong> click on the Dantec Device Configuration Icon.<br />

9. A “wizard” may run <strong>and</strong> fail to find the <strong>BSA</strong> processor, click on OK <strong>and</strong><br />

click on “Add”, then “Processor”, “OK”.<br />

10. Click on processor, then properties, set TCP/IP to 10.10.100.100<br />

11. Click on “information”, “update”, processor should then be found <strong>and</strong><br />

connected.<br />

12. Click on “optics”, set-up either LDA or PDA optical system <strong>and</strong> optical<br />

configuration can then be set.<br />

13. <strong>BSA</strong> software can now be run.<br />

After installation of the <strong>BSA</strong> <strong>Flow</strong> software <strong>and</strong> interfaces, a system<br />

configuration must be defined in the PC. The is done from the toolbar:<br />

or from the Windows Control Panel by double clicking on the Dantec<br />

Device Configuration icon:<br />
