Cyclic phenomena data can be sorted either according to the time passed<br />

from the last reset, or according to the physical angle of rotation of an<br />

encoder.<br />

To sort according to time, use the Sync. 1 for a reset pulse (once per cycle<br />

pulse) . Bursts will be stamped with the time from the last Sync. 1 pulse.<br />

To sort according to physical angle using an encoder, use Reset Encoder <strong>and</strong><br />

Encoder. Bursts will be stamped with the encoder count from the last Reset<br />

Encoder pulse.<br />

It is possible to map the same inputs both to the Sync.1, Sync. 2 <strong>and</strong> to the<br />

Reset Encoder <strong>and</strong> Encoder inputs. In this case, each burst will have an<br />

arrival time <strong>and</strong> an encoder count associated, <strong>and</strong> each Sync pulse will be<br />

time stamped.<br />
