In fixed record length mode, the two vertical dotted lines in the Scope<br />

section indicate the record length that is passed to the FFT processor to<br />

determine the Doppler frequency. The record interval should match the<br />

length of the longest bursts, as in the example above.<br />

In auto-adaptive mode, the two sets of vertical line correspond to the<br />

minimum <strong>and</strong> maximum record length (see chapter 5 System Monitor).<br />

Note The record length is not displayed with <strong>BSA</strong> F30 <strong>and</strong> <strong>BSA</strong> P30 processors.<br />

Checking for coincidence in 2D <strong>and</strong> 3D systems <strong>and</strong> selecting record<br />

interval are described in Chapter 5: System Monitor.<br />

Recognising a good Doppler burst requires some experience. The validation<br />

rates a good indicator. You can see the validation rate in the Acquisition<br />

pane of the System Monitor window.<br />

11. Optimise data rate <strong>and</strong> validation by adjusting the sensitivity <strong>and</strong> gain<br />

settings under the Range <strong>and</strong> gain properties.<br />
