14. You have now completed data acquisition in a single point. To save<br />

the data, click the Save button in the toolbar (or select File-Save in<br />

the menu bar), <strong>and</strong> give the project file a name. It will be stored in<br />

the My <strong>Flow</strong> Projects folder.<br />

15. You can add further processing objects, data lists or graphs by right<br />

mouse clicking on the <strong>BSA</strong> Application icon in the project explorer<br />

<strong>and</strong> selecting “new” from the dialog that appears.<br />

16. To save time when new objects have been added, you can run those<br />

objects alone by clicking on the highest level object you want to run,<br />

<strong>and</strong> then click the “Run” button or press F5 on the keyboard. This<br />

will run the object <strong>and</strong> it’s child objects.<br />

4.10.4 Data acquisition, PDA, step-by-step procedure<br />

The description below is for a 1D channel PDA system.<br />

Assumptions:<br />

• optics <strong>and</strong> the traverse system have been configured<br />

• 40 MHz Bragg cell is used<br />

• all cable connections have been made<br />

• the <strong>BSA</strong> <strong>Flow</strong> <strong>Software</strong> has found the <strong>BSA</strong><br />

• the measurement volume is located at a point in the flow<br />

• the laser is running<br />

• particles are present in the flow<br />

• the transmitting optics <strong>and</strong> receiving optics are precisely aligned<br />
