3.2.3 Installation of add-ons If you do not get the above screen displays, please execute the SETUP.EXE file in the CD's root directory. This will start the installation program. You will be asked for the hardware key (dongle) password during the installation. This is shown on a page supplied with the software. It is recommended that you follow the guidelines in the installation routine. In particular, it is recommended that you install the file in the default directory path. C:\Program Files\Dantec\BSA Flow Software v4\ Data belonging to a particular experiment are stored in Projects. Sample projects are included and can be used to get acquainted with the software’s features, before you move on to acquisition of data. If you purchase add-ons at a later date, you will receive a dongle key code that is required for installation. All files for add-ons are included on the CD-ROM, but the dongle key code is required to use them. To modify the installation, use the Windows Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs, select BSA Flow Software and click on the Change button. The InstallShield Wizard will guide you through the installation. In the second dialog, select Modify: 3-8 BSA Flow Software: Installation
Click Next and select the add-ons you wish to install. To activate the new add-on you have to go to the Help - Software Key… menu and type in your new dongle key code: You must restart the application software to activate your new add-ons. 3.2.4 Setting up IP Address and Subnet Mask Configuration Selector Settings The BSA Processor is equipped with a Configuration Selector switch on the rear panel. This switch can be used to configure the processor to a number of predefined network settings like IP address and subnet mask, see list. When the switch is turned and after the processor is restarted, the processor will adapt to the selected settings.
