race back home to get the information you needed to make the call that<br />

you left on the table. Finally making the first call, you think of several<br />

other phone calls that you need to make, only to forget them before you<br />

hang up. What was the first task you started to do? That’s right, give the<br />

dog his pill, but you never made it to the store. Still no cheese.<br />

I know this is a little extreme for most people, but I know we can all<br />

identify to some extent. We get sidetracked by the little things in life.<br />

Time slips away and next thing you know your day is gone. It can be<br />

difficult to keep up with all the tasks it takes to keep your business and<br />

personal life running smoothly.<br />

By compiling Your Life List, you are able to free your mind for other<br />

things. So, what is Your Life List? It is a list that helps you keep track<br />

of your life. You no longer need to worry about keeping track of all<br />

the tasks in your day. You don’t keep track of just daily tasks, but you<br />

keep track of business goals. Break down your goal into bite-sized<br />

pieces and accomplish sections of it every day! Success isn’t just a<br />

lucky break. You have to work towards it consistently every day. This is<br />

where Your Life List comes into play every day.<br />

First, you need to figure out when you do your best work. Are you an<br />

early bird or a night owl? Of course I am talking about the times you<br />

function best. Most of you know when you are at your best. Do you<br />

prefer to get up with the sun or do prefer to wake without the alarm<br />

around noon? Let’s talk about when you are going to be making Your<br />

Daily Life List. You will either make it in the evening before bed or in<br />

the morning when you get up. Your choice! This won’t be the only time<br />

of day you look at your list, but it will be the time when you are able<br />

to spend time and organize everything on the list. Of course, you will<br />

also be adding things to your list throughout the day as well. I like to<br />

make my list at night. I rest better knowing that I don’t have to try to<br />

remember everything to get done the next day. Some people like to do<br />

theirs in the morning because it allows them to get ready for the day.<br />

Not everyone has the luxury to be at work when they are at their best,<br />

but recognizing when your energy is at its highest will make you more<br />

productive. For example, if you are a night owl, but you are scheduling<br />

most of your work in the morning. You constantly feel like you are<br />

dragging yourself to your next task. Just imagine if you shifted your<br />
