PUSHING TO THE FRONT
unlikely to ever get done. I used to have dreams that were always being
put on the back burner – because of more urgent matters that were
sometimes dictated by what others wanted.
In order to achieve my goals, I started a weekly planning session. Every
Sunday night, I take one hour and plan my upcoming week. I
break it down into all my businesses and all the other areas of my
life – such as finances, fitness, personal development, spiritual, philanthropic
people mindfulness techniques, such as deep breathing and meditation.
At the end of three months, the participants had a 54 percent drop
in psychological distress and a 46 percent drop in medical symptoms
such as high blood pressure. The control group had little reduction of
stress and an increase in medical symptoms.
Action Step: If you find your mind racing, STOP and take 5 deep
breaths in and out slowly.
5. – g – gratitude
I think it’s important to step back and be thankful. While we should
always be striving to do more and be more, we must simultaneously be
