THE 5 CRITICAl INdICATORS THAT lEAdERS mUST ExECUTE TO KEEP RElEvANT IN TOdAy’S CHANGING ECONOmy
‘education’ you drive everyone to the ‘buying now’ category. That was
clearly Steve’s goal!
Apply It Now: Can you articulate your elevator pitch? Do your employees
know it? If not, learn it yourself and train your employees.
Steve turned his company around because he understood the central
message and most importantly, stuck to it. He trained all his employees
to articulate it as well and the company was primed to explode.
Admit it! You don’t know it either and that puts you with 96% of the
other company leaders in American companies. Your company dies if
you don’t master this skill! That’s why 95% eventually die. They are
not good at this skill.
It’s not sexy and it’s not particularly fun, but if you can’t read a profit
and you will go belly up. Just recently a business owner confided to
this writer that after 20 years in business he figured out he didn’t really
know how to analyze “the why” and “the what” of his business. He was
hemorrhaging hundreds of thousands of dollars and was in danger of
ignorantly running his business into the ground.
Thankfully for Steve, he saw this critical indicator and corrected his cash
flow problems. He then made sure all the reporting lines in the company
were clear and accountable. He got it together before his business failed.
Apply it now: Can you read a profit and now statement? Do you have
a clear organizational chart and reporting lines? Does each employee
possess a clear and concise position description and held accountable
to it with no exceptions?
