GlOBAl CONNECTIONS mEAN All THE WORld
I took the first steps towards my ultimate goal by starting my own business
on my own time while I was still at EMC. That business was a hitech
consulting company which developed video analytics algorithms
for specialized video equipment, such as red light cameras and other
surveillance video systems. At the time, Google’s rapid growth had
made video data search a potential market need. This was a business
very popular in China, so they bought his book, which featured the
same purple bracelet on the cover.
When I read it, I was as taken with the book’s vision as my brother’s
family was.
Bowen believed that most of us spent too much time complaining about
the mundane things in our lives, instead of taking positive action to
improve those lives. By putting so much energy into what we disliked,
we were creating a negativity that held us all back. And something
that really stood out to me? It was his preface to the book, in which he
