PUSHING TO THE FRONT
7. Be open to change. It is important to be flexible in business and
to adapt to changes as best as you can. Change is inevitable and
the longer you resist it, the more difficult it will be to control
stress and maintain your healthy routines. Find ways to help
yourself through a change. Read books, find a mentor, or think
of ways to benefit from the new environment.
8. Prepare, prepare, prepare. And then prepare some more! The
more prepared you feel for a project or task, the better you feel
about your performance. It also helps to control anxiety and
negative feelings that work against you.
9. Never stop learning. Learning strengthens the mind and makes
us feel more secure and confident. It makes us better at what
we do. There are audio books on many areas of business and
self-help that will improve your skills. Take advantage of your
commute to work and meetings. Plug in your iPod or audio
discs. We recommend starting with Brian Tracy’s programs.
10. Take care of your relationships. Business and life are all about
relationships – spouses, family members, customers, vendors,
managers, consultants, etc. It is important to communicate your
needs clearly and directly and to know when to listen. Take care
of your relationships and keep your communication skills sharp.
It will eliminate a lot of stress in your life.
As a business owner, you are stretched thin. You manage many tasks
and relationships each day, and we truly empathize with the pressure
and energy this takes. We are not painting a portrait of perfection or
holding you to unrealistic goals. But we have spent most of our lives
learning how to think about things, educating ourselves to find success
in all areas of our lives. And we hope that you will start incorporating
these valuable tools into your everyday life.
Look for the right opportunities in life, affirm big, and stay healthy.
Enjoy your journey, as we have, and the best is still yet to come! Keep
up with The Cashmans.
All our best of success to you. Enjoy the good life!
