you ever feel like you’re in physical checkmate or mental gridlock?<br />

Perhaps you frequently suffer from analysis paralysis or are<br />

just plain frozen with the fear of failure.<br />

When we allow ourselves the luxury of being stagnant, we become<br />

more accepting of things as they are. Often we even justify our lack<br />

of motivation through an unfair comparison of ourselves to others less<br />

fortunate than we are. To rationalize in this way is detrimental to our<br />

personal growth. It’s actually like telling ourselves rational-lies.<br />

Complacency is similar to a disease that debilitates our thoughts and<br />

activities. The good news is that just as a well-balanced diet and exercise<br />

can reduce our health risks, …there are seven behaviors that can<br />

increase our resistance to becoming complacent, provided we make a<br />

conscious effort to focus on them constantly. As the following actions<br />

and attitudes are outlined as a prescription for conquering complacency,<br />

consider how many doses you would be willing to consume on a<br />

daily basis.<br />
