THE POWER OF CONSCIOUS CHOICE
enormous new sense of freedom and possibility. And that’s when I decided
with a ferocious resolve to study every personal growth technique
and modality I could get my hands on to see what really worked.
For years, I studied with the biggest motivational speakers and transformational
thought leaders, like Marianne Williamson. I worked for
Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar and Brian Tracy. Piecing together what consistently
worked 100% of the time from all these different sources, throwing
away the fluff and combining hypnosis, psychology, neuro-linquistics,
somatic psychology and body work, I developed a transformational
system of my own. At that point, my income went from 10-15K
a month to six figures a month — but this time, things were completely
different. This time, I was living a happy, balanced life, free from the
inherited patterns that had caused my previous misery.
The dictionary defines “conditions” as a particular mode of being of
a person or thing; existing state; situation with respect to circumstances
(ME, condicioun, L, condicioun). Simply put, conditions are
the results that we currently have in the various areas of our lives. Our
conditions can go everywhere from absolute zero all the way up to
infinity as far as the gradient of how well or how bad a condition is.
For example, your health is in a certain condition. Your finances are
in a certain condition. Your marriage or your relationship with your
primary partner is in a certain condition. Your relationship with your
children or with your parents is in a certain condition. So understanding
our present conditions actually gives us a scale of how we can
start working on a specific area we would like to change in our lives.
So as we’re looking at, for instance, our financial condition, it is on
a relative scale based on our own personal financial goals. For some
people, making $50,000 per year is considered a great life and a great
lifestyle. For some people, that amount per year might be seen as almost
living at poverty level, especially if they live in some place like
New York where the cost of living is about five times higher than,
let’s say … Montana. So conditions are going to be relative to our
personal situation and to our personal goals and outcomes.
Along with our financial condition, we also have a specific identity
