A comparison of antibody titers by immunotype
at birth, before and after vaccination at
median age four months and according to dosage
of vaccine fed, is shown in Fig. 8. The antibody
titer responses to Types 1 and 3 are obvious. The
antibody titers to Type 2 appear to decay at the
half-life rate.
Revaccination. At the present time an infant
revaccination program is under way. Each infant
in the study will be revaccinated if the response
to first feeding is poor or when two or
three titers reach a low level. The usual blood
controls are being obtained. To date the results
of three such revaccinations are complete. One
