Sleep Mode Commands
In order to improve the power consumption, the H24 supports a low-power consumption mode,
called "Sleep mode". The H24 has internal decision conditions for entering and exiting sleep
mode. As the terminal and the H24 operate in a combined system, and as the communication
between the H24 and the terminal must be reliable, there should be a mechanism agreed upon by
both the H24 and the terminal to co-ordinate their separate sleep mode entering and exiting
sequences. The H24 will not enter sleep mode unless the terminal enables the H24 sleep mode
and signals its readiness for sleep. For this purpose, a set of AT commands and dedicated HW
lines are defined.
Notes:
1. H24 USB supports resume/suspend mechanism according to USB2.0 specification,
which handles signaling (resume/suspend, remote wakeup) and data integrity.
2. If the following conditions become true:
- Sleep mode enabled
- HW flow control enabled
- Airplane mode enabled (AT+CFUN=0 or AT+CFUN=4).
The user will be able to wake H24 through RX activity only if the terminal switches
to flow control NONE first!
Enable/Disable Sleep Mode
Enabling/Disabling sleep mode is controlled via +MSLEEP command.
Issue AT+MSLEEP=1 for enabling sleep mode or AT+MSLEEP=0 for disabling.
Sleep Mode AT Commands
The following are the Sleep mode AT commands:
• ATS102: Defines the period to wait between sending the wake-up signal, and sending data to
the terminal.
• ATS100: The minimum time that takes the Terminal to enter sleep mode. Only if this time
period passes, the H24 will wait ATS102 time between wake-up out line and data
transmission.
The following are applicable for UART only:
• ATS24: Number of Seconds Delay for UART to enter sleep.
• AT+MSCTS: Defines the behavior of the CTS line when H24 is in Sleep mode. It enables or
disables activation of the CTS line after wakeup.
