Multi Channeling
Multi Channeling
Multi channeling provide multiple connection channels between the TE and H24. This service
enables the TE device to run multiple applications (such as packet or CSD, SMS and voice calls)
while communicating simultaneously with the H24.
Multi Channeling Overview
Multi channeling allows several parallel connections, each has its own related service on the unit.
The available services are (see Figure 3-9):
• Internal TCP/IP Binary -
Raw data in online data mode transfers via established network connection (socket), based
on internal TCP or UDP protocol stack.
• Internal TCP/IP Text -
Text transfers in command mode via established network connection (socket), based on
internal TCP or UDP protocol stack.
• CSD -
CSD (Circuit Switch Data) bearer service provides both a transparent and non-transparent
(error correction and flow control).
• External TCP/IP -
Initialize communication between the terminal and the Packet Data Network (PDN), based
on external stack over a PPP channel.
