RS232 Multiplexer Feature<br />

MUX States Overview<br />

The MUX module has 3 states, MUX-NONE, MUX-WAIT and MUX-ACTIVE (see Figure 3-8).<br />

MUX-NONE State<br />

Regular RS232/UART communication when MUX is not established.<br />

Enter to state:<br />

• H24 powers up and opens UART1 related port.<br />

• MUX has been closed (see "MUX Close").<br />

Exit from state:<br />

DTE sends <strong>AT</strong>+CMUX command for starting H24's MUX stack.<br />

MUX-WAIT State<br />

H24 is ready and waits for DTE to either start or close MUX session.<br />

Enter to state:<br />

H24 receives a valid <strong>AT</strong>+CMUX command and connectivity configuration is set to +MCONN=3<br />

(UART1 only).<br />

Exit from state:<br />

• MUX has been closed (see "MUX Close").<br />

• SABM0 frame is received.<br />

• Timeout after 10 sec H24 didn't receive a SABM0 frame (Transition to MUX-NONE).<br />
