Personalization
Overview
H24 supports personalization feature in accordance with 3GPP TS 22.02.
Features and Benefits
• Support of five categories:
1. PF - very-first-inserted-SIM card. SIM/USIM personalization is an anti theft feature.
H24 is enabled to be personalized for particular SIM/USIM. H24 locks the extracted
IMSI from SIM/USIM which is inserted in the ME. The locking operation is allowed
when the ME is not previously locked.
2. PN - Network. H24 is enabled to be personalized for particular network. H24 locks the
extracted MCC+MNC from IMSI of the SIM/USIM. The locking operation is allowed
when the H24 is not previously locked.
3. PU - sUbset network. Network subset personalization is a refinement of network
personalization, which allows network operators to limit the usage of a ME to a well
defined subset of SIMs/USIMs; e.g. where the ME is the property of a third party. H24 is
enabled to be personalized for sub network. H24 locks the extracted MCC+MNC+6 and
7 digitals from IMSI of SIM/USIM. The locking operation is allowed when the H24 is
not previously locked.
4. PP - Service Provider. H24 is enabled to be personalized for particular service provider
and it can work only with support of SIM/USIM with GID1. H24 locks the extracted
MCC+MNC from IMSI of SIM/USIM and GID1. The locking operation is allowed
when the H24 is not previously locked.
5. PC - Corporate. Corporate personalization is a refinement of SP personalization which
allows companies to prevent the use of MEs they provide for their employees or
customers with other SIMs/USIMs without that corporate personalization. H24 is
enabled to be personalized for corporate and it can work only with support of
SIM/USIM with GID1 and GID2. H24 locks the extracted MCC+MNC from IMSI of
SIM/USIM and GID1 and GID2. The locking operation is allowed when the H24 is not
previously locked.
• The categories are independent in so far as each category can be activated or
de-activated regardless of the status of the others.
• There are priorities between the categories. When some categories are locked, the user
has to unlock first the category having low priority up to high priority. There isn't
possibility select, any category will be unlocked. The priorities that are shown here are
listed by low up to high order:
1. PIN1/PIN2
2. PN
3. PU
4. PP
5. PC
6. PF
• The feature allows locking, unlocking, unblocking actions and querying one or more of
selected categories.
