Overview<br />

A Service Class 1 facsimile H24 provides a basic level of services necessary to support Group 3<br />

facsimile operation. This requires support from the facsimile terminal to implement the<br />

recommended T.30 procedures for document facsimile transmission and recommended T.4 for<br />

representing facsimile images.<br />

Technical Description<br />

Service Class 1 includes the following services, as required or optional in Group 3 facsimile:<br />

• Connection<br />

• Waiting and silence detection<br />

• Data transmission and reception<br />

• HDLC data framing, transparency and error detection<br />

• Message generation<br />

Improved OEM Features<br />

H24 contains the following new and improved features:<br />

• HSxPA data services<br />

• Simultaneous Voice and Packet Data<br />

• USB 2.0 device<br />

• UMTS SIM Application Toolkit (US<strong>AT</strong>)<br />

• TCP/IP support<br />

• Audio (digital and analog) - Routing, calibration etc.<br />

• User-defined profiles<br />

• Device management OTA<br />

HSxPA Data Services<br />

Data services for the HSxPA are basically bi-directional (Up-link/Down-link) real-time<br />

high-volume packet data applications. Such application can be real-time person-to-person video<br />

conference, Net meeting, gaming and more. These applications run on a terminal while H24 is<br />

provides high data rate pipe.<br />
