hot state. Once hot state achieved NMEA message will be output every
seconds.
4. When a valid position is unavailable upon invoking +MGPSLOC in tracking mode
(receiving MGPSLOC: 0,0,0,0,0,0,0), it might be related to QoS setting. Such a
failure may occur when using a large (several minutes). Therefore, in case
of an invalid position, and when a user is willing to compromise performance,
lowering the QoS should be considered (i.e. setting towards 255 sec)
for acquiring a position.
5. H24 supports efficient power consumption when invoking +MGPSLOC in tracking
mode. However, in case of using a large (several minutes), and when low
power consumption is required, a different approach is recommended: the TE should
use a single shot fix and manage its own tracking mode.
+MGPSQOS, Set QoS Parameters
H24 supports the following QoS parameters:
• Accuracy Threshold (meters)
• Performance (seconds)
The module attempts to reach the specified accuracy threshold within the performance time. If at
the end of the performance time the desired accuracy is not achieved, then zero position
information is returned.
Changing QoS dynamically within a tracking session affects current session.
Note: The QoS setting has strong influence on the zero reporting (+MGPSLOC: 0,0,0,0,0,0,0)
within GPS tracking mode. For example, setting very high performance and very high
accuracy - 1 second performance and 1 meter threshold - may result with many zero
position reports.
QoS does not affect NMEA reports.
