3.2. Sensitivity analysis<br />

In the sensitivity analysis, the effect of vary<strong>in</strong>g three param<strong>et</strong>ers was analysed, N2O emission rate, NH3<br />

emission rate and P loss rate. The param<strong>et</strong>ers were all related to emissions after field application, as large<br />

uncerta<strong>in</strong>ties are associated with these estimates (Hansen <strong>et</strong> al., 2008; IPCC, 2006; Nielsen & Wenzel, 2007).<br />

3.2.1. N2O emission rate (field)<br />

Accord<strong>in</strong>g to the IPCC (2006), the N2O emission rate after field application of slurry ranges from 0.7% to<br />

6.0% of total N. These values were <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> the sensitivity analysis, and results are shown <strong>in</strong> Figure 5.<br />

For the low emission model, the global warm<strong>in</strong>g potential is decreases the least with 16% for screw press<br />

with compost<strong>in</strong>g scenario to the most for the centrifuge scenario with 19%. For <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>g the N2O emission<br />

rates to 6.0%, aga<strong>in</strong> the screw press with compost<strong>in</strong>g scenario is affected the least with 49% and the centrifuge<br />

scenario is affected the most with 59%. The relative rank<strong>in</strong>g of scenarios is not changed by edit<strong>in</strong>g the<br />

N2O emission rate.<br />
