De økonomiske effekter af familiev<strong>en</strong>lig politik i de nordiske <strong>land</strong>e 151<br />

pet<strong>en</strong>cer og tal<strong>en</strong>ter udnyttes bedre på fremtid<strong>en</strong>s arbejdsmarked. Is<strong>land</strong> <strong>har</strong> taget<br />

et stort skridt fremad med at ligestille fædr<strong>en</strong>e og mødr<strong>en</strong>e på dette område.<br />

Selvom vi <strong>ikke</strong> <strong>har</strong> set langtidsvirkningerne af d<strong>en</strong>ne politik, tager de is<strong>land</strong>ske<br />

fædre nu deres del af orlov<strong>en</strong>, og det bliver interessant at se, hvordan det i fremtid<strong>en</strong><br />

vil påvirke det is<strong>land</strong>ske arbejdsmarked, ligestillingsmæssige forhold og familiernes<br />

trivsel og velfærd.<br />
