Dr. Vayia Panagiotidis is a Researcher in the Laboratory of Archaeometry of the
University of the Peloponnese. Her research focuses on the use of Information
Technology in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, GIS applications, web applications,
use of UAVs for 3D documentation in Cultural Heritage. She is an author of 7 peer –
reviewed papers.
Professor Nikolaos Zacharias at the University of the Peloponnese (Director of
the Laboratory of Archaeometry and Director of the MSc program Cultural
Heritage Materials and Technologies) has a diploma in Chemical – Engineering
from NTUA , MSc at NCSR Demokritos and PhD at NTUA 2000. NZ practiced
his doctorate in the field of Luminescence Dating and Dosimetry of
Archaeological and Geological Materials. Additionally, he is active in the field of
archaeological material analysis (pottery, glasses and mortars) with the use of
state-of-the-art and non-invasive approaches and also on the study of geological
materials (sediments, lithics). His field is Archaeometry, Environmental and
Digital Technologies. He has published extensively (totally 123) in the form of
books (3), book chapters (15), symposia proceedings (65) and peer-reviewed journals (75). NZ worked
at Bonn University (2000-2002) and at NCSR Demokritos (2002-2008).
