Installation and commissioning<br />

Installation<br />

Due to soiling and foreign bodies at the installation location.<br />

Due to a build-up of heat.<br />

Avoidance:<br />

The installation location must be free of conductive and<br />

aggressive substances as well as moisture.<br />

No foreign bodies such as drilling swarf or screws are to<br />

be allowed to fall into the system.<br />

It imperative you observe the minimum distances during<br />

installation.<br />

The ventilation openings on the front panel and rear wall of<br />

the devices must not be covered or sealed under any<br />

circumstances.<br />

Case installation/delivery with case<br />

TopCon TC.GSS power supplies are installed in standard cases or<br />

switch cabinets either separately or in multi-unit systems.<br />

In the standard design TopCon TC.GSS power supplies are intended to<br />

be installed in standard 19” cases and switch cabinets with an external<br />

air flow. In this case they are to be placed on rails or shelves and fastened<br />

at the points provided on the front panel.<br />

Number of screws:<br />

For 9 U devices typically: 6 x screws M6.<br />

On installation in cases or switch cabinets, the following points are to be<br />

noted:<br />

Use robust rails or shelves (from the case/cabinet manufacturer):<br />

the cases for TopCon TC.GSS power supplies must be in contact<br />

over the full installation depth. At the rear a cross-member is<br />

to be installed for additional fastening of the power supplies.<br />

Suitable transport aids must be used for the installation and<br />

removal of the power supplies. E. g. fit the carrying handles<br />

supplied in the side walls of the power supplies.<br />

The power supplies are to be lifted at these handles.<br />
