6.3. Switching on and off a TopCon power supply<br />

6.3.1. Prior to switching on for the first time<br />

Prior to switching on for the first time, the following points are to be<br />

checked:<br />

Does the information on the type plate match the mains connection<br />

and load?<br />

Mains connection correctly wired?<br />

Adequate cable cross-section used?<br />

For further information see chapter 6.2.3.2, page 112.<br />

Loads connected with correct polarity?<br />

For further information see chapter 6.2.3.3, page 113.<br />

Control signals connected correctly?<br />

For information on X101/X102 see chapter 4.3.2, page 46.<br />

For information on X105 see chapter7.2, page 120.<br />

Interlock inhibit wired?<br />

For further information see 4.3.3, page 48.<br />

Preparing interlock and communication bus correctly<br />

Connect the control interface (X105) to the 25-pin dummy plug<br />

(device rear side)<br />

The CAN bus for the device communication is connected.<br />

Situation: no RCU (Remote Control Unit) available.<br />

The communication and interlock interface (X101) on the rear<br />

side of the TopCon power supply is terminated using the “Interlock<br />

and CAN-Term” dummy plug (9-pin) (device rear side).<br />

Situation: RCU (Remote Control Unit) available.<br />

Connect the connection cable to the communication and interlock<br />

interface (X101) on the rear side of the TopCon power supply.<br />

The other end is connected to the RCU interface (X101).<br />

The “Interlock and CAN-Term” dummy plug is connected to<br />

connector X102 on the RCU. (Device rear side)<br />
