The aim ofthis work was to find correlation between Au/TiO 2 catalysts activity and methods of theirpreparation (impregnation and deposition-precipitation), the influence of alkali ions additives,content of gold phase and temperature of calcination in air. The physico-chemical propertiesof Au/TiO 2 catalysts were investigated by TPR, BET, XRD and catalytic activity methods.The influence of preparation method for 1% Au/TiO 2 catalysts on CO conversion ispresented in figure 1. Catalysts prepared by deposition-precipitation appeared much moreactive than those obtained by impregnation method. The activity of impregnated catalysts canbe considerable improved by alkali doping. Titania itself shows also catalytic activity but inhigher temperature range, above 400°C.
