2 SUPPORT SERVICESBoth self referral <strong>and</strong> supervisor referral are encouraged, while maintaining the voluntary <strong>and</strong>confidential nature <strong>of</strong> the program. There is no need for the staff member to advise anyone or askfor approval for the counselling. This commitment is documented withinthe <strong>Department</strong>’s Workplace Health <strong>and</strong> Injury Management Policy.Roles <strong>and</strong> responsibilities for principals, staff <strong>and</strong> other persons in relation to return to work aredocumented in the <strong>Department</strong>’s Return to Work Program for Work Related Injuries policy.
