1932, five historic documents relating to Chinese Benedictine Abbey Yenki,
founded in 1928 as a monastery it played an important role in the
Christian Mission in East Asia, made an abbey in 1934 and a diocese in
April 1946 it was stormed by the Communists in May the same year, this
rendered further missionary work impossible and lead to the Abbey's
dissolution a few years later, German letter to an abbot - probably Abbot
Utz of Münsterschwarzach - concerning the validity of Manchurian
stamps and banknotes, attached partial sheet of by then invalid Manchuria
Mi.Nr. 29 with postmarks, according to the letter still valid banknotes
were included along with the stamps for the abbot's personal collection,
two Chinese welcome letters by members of the parish to the head of the
Abbey, both handwritten with brush and in Chinese ink, two customs and
tax papers, one for the import of four units of writing papers, the other
with included customs invoice and way bill concerning the import of 50
bottles of wine, of great historical interest and very good condition
