Rhizome thick woody; pseudobulbs 3 in. long, conic-cylindric.<br />

Leaves 4, oblanceolate narrowed to petioles, 8 in. long, '5 in. wide.<br />

Scapes two, 7 to 8 in. tall, base nude with 2 or 3 ovate bracts.<br />

Raceme dense, 3 in. long. Flowers rusty pubescent, '25 in. long.<br />

Bracts '25 in. long, ovate-Ianceolate acute. Sepals ovate acute,<br />

mentum as long, conic blunt. Petals linear acuminate. Lip claw<br />

linear, side-lobes short round crisp, midlobe larger ovate blunt crisp.<br />

Hab. Rare, on low trees. Pahang, Kwala Pahang (Ridley).<br />

very many, '2,5 in. long. Bracts minute ovate. Sepals red pubescent<br />

outside. Upper one short ovate, laterals broader, mentum<br />

long clubbed, yellowish white inside. Petals wider ovate purple<br />

at base. Lip shorter oblong, side-lobes very short, midlobe longer<br />

blunt undulate. Hab. Mountains. Pahang, Gunong Tahan.<br />

Selangor, Bukit ,Kutu. Kedah Peak (Ridley).<br />

Rhizome stout woody; pseudo bulbs crowded cylindric, 3 in.<br />

long, '4 in. through, covered with brown coriaceous truncate sheaths.<br />

Leaves very coriaceous lanceolate blunt narrowed to base, 7 in.<br />

long, '5 in. wide or less. Scapes with a large pale papery sheathing<br />

bract at base. Scape 6 to 18 in. long, lower half nude; raceme<br />

long dense brown tomentose. Bracts minute. Upper sepal oblong<br />

blunt, laterals broad triangular yellow inside; mentum cylindric<br />

conic blunt. Petals linear-oblong blunt. Lip base very shortly<br />

narrowed, li!Ilb oblong faintly 3-lobed, round truncate. Hab.<br />

Mountains. Perak, Gunong Kerbau at 4000 to 6000 ft. altitude<br />

(Robinson); Gunong Inas (Yapp).<br />

Scapes from lowest node of pseudobulb 6 to 8 in. long; rachis<br />

woolly. Flowers scattered woolly outside. Bracts lanceolate,<br />

'5 in. long. Sepals'5 in. long, outside woolly, inside sea-green;<br />

upper lanceolate acute, laterals wide triangular acute spotted red<br />

at base, mentum short blunt. Petals '25 in. long, linear-Ianceolate<br />

acute. Lip pandurate-Ianceolate, lobes oblong blunt, midlobe<br />

oblong blunt densely spotted purple, a yellow V-shaped callus with<br />

dark purple spot in fork on midrib. Column white a pink spot<br />

at base. Hab. Kedah Peak. Lankawi (Curtis). Dlstrib. Siam,<br />
