oblong with 3 raised ribs. Anther ovate blunt, pollinia 4, pyriform,<br />

caudicles calyptrate. Rostellum 3-lobed. Hab. Not common.<br />

Johor, Ulu Kahang (Holttum). Penang, Waterfall (Curtis).<br />

Lankawi, Gunong Raya at 2500 ft. altitude (Curtis); Dayong<br />

Bunting (Robinson). Pulau Adang (Ridley). Distrib. Tenasserim,<br />

Siam, Borneo, Java.<br />

Epiphytes occasionally on rocks. Stems erect, leafy terete or<br />

flat. Leaves distichous elliptic to lanceolate unequally bilobed,<br />

thinly coriaceous articulate with sheath. Flowers small in axillary<br />

and sub-termi,nal racemes. Bracts usually persistent and often<br />

reflexed. Upper sepallanceolate or ovate, laterals prolonged below<br />

into a mentum. Petals smaller. Lip base saccate adnate to<br />

column foot, usually quite entire, a callus usually horse-shoeshaped<br />

at base of lip. Column short thick, arms small, foot long or<br />

short. Anther ovate beaked. Pollinia 4 to 8, pear-shaped narrowed<br />

to a small disc. Rostellum ovate-Ianceolate bifid. Capsule<br />

small elliptic. Species about 40, Indo-Malayan.<br />
