Stem 6 in. tall, stout. Leaves crowded thick leathery oblong<br />

blunt, 4 in. long, 1'25 in. thick. Scapes 3 to 5 in. long, base purple;<br />

racemes 1'5 to 4 in. long. Bracts '25 in. long, close set. Sepals<br />

linear caudate, base broader, '75 in. long, bright yellow. Petals<br />

narrower linear caudate. Lip '25 in. long, pubescent orange tipped<br />

cherry scarlet, spur saccate, side-lobes arched blunt, midlobe<br />

fleshy blunt ovate, callus tongue-shaped. Fruit angled linear,<br />

'3 in. long. Hab. On old coffee trees, rare. Johor, Castlewood<br />

(Ridley).<br />

Habit of T. arachnites,' stem about 4 in. long, covered with<br />

strongly ribbed sheaths. Leaves oblong-linear, 3 to 5 in. long,<br />

'5 in. wide. Racemes fiat, I in. long or more on peduncles 1'5 in.<br />

long. Bracts boat-shaped as in T. arachnites. Flowers on pedicels<br />

'3 in. long. Sepals and petals triangular-Ianceolate long caudate,<br />

tails filiform, very slender, '75 in. long, ochre yellow, spur pink<br />

short blunt, :12 in. long. Lip '25 in. long, linear narrow violet.<br />

Hab. Trees at 1000 ft. altitude. Negri Sembilan, Bukit Tangga<br />

Pass (Ridley).<br />

Stem 4 to 5 in. long. Leaves broadly linear-Iorate blunt, 6 in.<br />

white. Lip saccate at base, side-lobes elongate, falcate acute,<br />

midlobe lanceolate acute, white, base crimson, lobes and disc inside<br />

violet spotted pubescent; callus small papilliform violet. Hab.<br />

Lankawi (Curtis). Dtstrib. South Siam.<br />

I in. wide. Sepals linear very narrow acuminate caudate. Petals<br />

similar, all yellow or reddish. Lip saccate ovate cuspidate, sidelobes<br />

not distinct, yellow with pink spots. Column foot adnate to<br />

lip, not distinct. Hab. Not common. Singapore, Chan Chu Kang;<br />

Bukit Mandai. Johor, Batu Pahat (Ridley). Perak, Teluk Anson<br />

(Williams).<br />
