Stem 2 in. tall. Leaves lanceolate acute sub-sessile, I in. long,<br />

'25 in. wide; sheaths '25 in. long. Scape slender pubescent, 5<br />

to 6 in. long; raceme 2 in. long. Flowers very small, '12 in. long.<br />

Upper sepal adnate to petals ovate acuminate pubescent, laterals<br />

lanceolate acute. Lip, base saccate, with minute cylindric processes<br />

inside, lanceolate acute, sides of tip involute forming a tube. Anther<br />

with a long narrow beak. Rostellar arms nearly as long linear<br />

truncate. Hab. Rare. Penang Hill (Ridley).<br />

Terrestrial herbs with long creeping stem. Leaves many,<br />

lanceolate petioled. Spike peduncled rather lax of many small<br />

flowers, pubescent. Upper sepal hooded attached to petals, laterals<br />

broad gibbous, forming a mentum. Lip a sub-globose sac with a<br />

small linear limb, and a callus in base of sac. Column very short,<br />

no arms. Anther long beaked. Pollinia pear-shaped, caudicle<br />

tapering to disc. Rostellum very long bifid. Species 4, Malay<br />

isles to New Guinea and Philippines.<br />

Capsule elliptic sessile, '25 in. long. Hab. In wet forests, sometimes<br />
