blunt closely distichous, 1'5 in. long, '75 in. wide, sheaths funnelshaped,<br />

ribbed obliquely truncate, '25 in. long. Racemes 1 in. long.<br />

few-flowered. Bracts reflexed lanceolate blunt, 1 in. long. Flowers<br />

small. Sepals broadly ovate, spur rather large blunt sac-shaped.<br />

Petals lanceolate half as wide. Lip broadly saccate, limb horseshoeshaped,<br />

bifid with in curved falcate points, a broad fleshy ovate<br />

callus pointing backwards below the limb in the sac. Column short<br />

and broad. Anther ovate short. Rostellum long lanceolate, tip<br />

minutely bifid. Stigma deep with a strongly elevated surrounding<br />

ridge. Hab. Terrestrial, mountain forest, Pahang, Upper Tras<br />

valley under Fraser Hill (Burkill and Holttum, 8856).<br />

Allied to A pendula Bl , but the broad blunt oblong leaves and bilobed<br />

IIp distmguish It from any form of this section.<br />

Stems 1 to 2'5 ft. tall. Leaves thin lanceolate-ovate unequally<br />

bilobed, 2 to 2'5 in. wide; sheaths'5 in. long. Racemes sub-terminal<br />

or axillary pendulous, 1 to 8 in. long. Bracts ovate reflexed persistent.<br />

Flowers small. Upper sepal lanceolate, laterals ovate,<br />

mentum short broad. Petals narrow lanceolate, all pale green.<br />

Lip oblong pandurate blunt with an inner crescent lamella white<br />

edged purple. Column short thick yellow purple-marked, arms<br />

very short. Anther ovate orange. Pollinia 8, very unequal on a<br />

small round disc. Hab. On rocks or trees, Perak (Scortechini).<br />

Penang Hill (Maingay, Curtis, etc.). lalor, Biserat (Gwynne­<br />

Vaughan). Distrib. Borneo to New Guinea.<br />

Stems 2 ft. tall, often branched. Leaves thin dark green sulcate,<br />

1'5 to 4 in. long, '25 to 1 in. wide; sheaths '25 to '5 in. long.<br />

Racemes terminal, 2 to 3 in. long. Bracts ovate-Ianceolate reflexed.<br />

Flowers '12 in. long, green or yellow. Sepals ovate acute, mentum<br />

short broad. Petals obovate-oblong blunt. Lip cuneate oblong,<br />

limb 3-lobed, lobes round, midlobe ovate sub-acuminate, a horseshoe-shaped<br />

lamina running to side-lobes. Column short, foot<br />

long, arms short truncate. Hab. Pahang, Telom. Selangor, Bukit<br />

Hitam; Gunong Mengkuang Lebah (Robinson); Menuang Gasing<br />

(Kloss). Perak, Gunong Batu Putih, at 3000 to 4000 ft. altitude<br />

(Kunstler); Thaiping Hills at 5000 ft. altitude. jalor, Bukit<br />

Besar at 3000 ft. altitude (Gwynne-Vaughan).<br />

This IS perhaps too near A. pendula.<br />

Stems tufted, 6 to 8 in. long, flattened. Leaves oblong round,<br />

Bracts distichous ovate leaf-like white, '25 in. long, recurved.<br />

Flowers hidden in bracts small yellowish white. Sepals lanceolate
