Small epiphytes. Leaves linear or oblong fleshy. Racemes very<br />

short few-flowered. Flowers small. Sepals lanceolate. Petals<br />

smaller. Lip flat, fleshy entire or side-lobes very small, no spur.<br />

Column short, arms small. Anther I-celled. Pollinia 4, a linear<br />

caudicle and large disc. Capsule oblong or elliptic. Species 5<br />

or 6, Malayan.<br />

Lip ovate acute purple, side-lobes erect blunt short. Capsule<br />

Stems stout. Leaves coriaceous lorate. Racemes short stout.<br />

Flowers medium. Sepals and petals sub-similar connivent. Lip<br />

spurless or nearly so, 3-lobed, often pubescent. Column thick<br />

conic. Pollinia with a narrow caudicle and oval disc. Species<br />

8 or 9, Indo-Malayan and African.<br />

Some of the species included by authors have a distinct and rather large<br />

spur, and seem to me indIstinguishable from Saccolabzum.
