1 ft. long, 3 in. wide; petiole 4 to 5 in. long. Scape 1'5 ft. tall.<br />

Flowers 9 to 10, I to 2 in. across. Sepals acute. Petals shorter,<br />

pale yellow veined purple. Lip shorter, side-lobes round, midlobe<br />

ovate, buff or nearly white spotted violet, with 3 ribs, spur yellow.<br />

Column broad boat-shaped, spotted violet. Anther yellow, 2 crimson<br />

spots. Hab. On grassy banks. Penang Hill (Curtis). Kedah,<br />

Gunong Geriang. Distrib. Java and Amboina.<br />

Terrestrial herbs; stems succulent creeping. Leaves ovate or<br />

lanceolate petiolate solitary. Scape tall erect with few flowers<br />

from creeping stem. Sepals lanceolate, laterals forming a mentum<br />

adnate to column foot. Petals similar. Lip spurred adnate to<br />

column foot, entire or 3-lobed. Column tall, foot short, arms very<br />

short. Anther bilobed at top. Pollinia 8, very unequal. Specie'S<br />

10, Indo-Malaya.<br />

Sepals long caudate acuminate.<br />
