long; sheaths silvery brown, reticulate short blunt. Leaves
linear fleshy, '5 to I in. long. Flowers minute on pilose pedicels.
Bract ovate. Upper sepal oblong, laterals ovate gibbous pilose.
Petals oblong-Ianceolate. Lip base saccate, limb obcordate, truncate
emarginate, Z keels. Column arms short round. Hab. Mountains.

Stems slender, weak, curved, 3 to 4 in. long, little branched;
sheaths ampliate mucronate, puncticulate. Leaves narrow ellipticlanceolate
blunt petioled, Z in. long, ·z5 in. wide. Flowers in
pairs; pedicels slender. Sepals lanceolate acute. Lip spathulate,
tip thickened acute. Hab. Very rare. Perak, Thaiping Hills at
5000 ft. altitude (Ridley).

chestnut. Leaves linear blunt, I in. long, ·z5 in. wide, coriaceous.
Flowers in distant tufts of ovate mucronate bracts, white minute.
Ovary and pedicel pubescent. Sepals ovate acute. Petals lanceolate.
Lip ovate-Ianceolate, base pubescent, yellowish in centre,
clawed. Column arms thick, round. Hab. On lofty trees in forests.

Terrestrial, rhizome creeping; pseudobulbs cylindric-conic with
one herbaceous petiolate leaf. Scape usually .... tall from rhizome,
raceme lax. Sepals and petals sub-similar, but lateral sepals
falcate. Lip 3-lobed adnate to short column foot, no spur. Column
tall arched, foot very short, arms linear-oblong from middle of the
column. Anther z-celled. Pollinia z. Species 8, Indo-Malayan,
Polynesia.
