Stems slender, 2 ft. long, internodes 1 to 1'25 in. long. Leaves<br />

oblong-Ianceolate acuminate, 3 to 4 in. long, '75 to 1 in. wide.<br />

Racemes short. Flowers few, 1'5 in. long, yellowish. Sepals<br />

elliptic-oblong blunt; mentum 2 or 3 times as long, cylindric nearly<br />

straight, pinkish. Petals obovate. Lip cuneate, 3-lobed, claw<br />

gradually dilate to limb, an elongate keel at base, side-lobes subtruncate<br />

crenulate, midlobe sub-orbicular retuse crenate. Hab.<br />

Malacca, no locality (Maingay).<br />

Near D. stlb/lavldum Rid!., but the flowers are rather smaller and lip<br />

crenulate ; mentum somewhat clubbed blunt.<br />

Stems very slender, weak, 1 ft. long. Leaves linear-Ianceolate,<br />

3 in. long, '25 in. wide. Flower one, '75 in. wide. Pedicel and<br />

ovary '5 in. long. Sepals ovate acute; mentum '75 in. long,<br />

cylindric, tip recurved acute. Petals broad ovate. All pink, tips<br />

darker. Lip clawed, long and narrow, side-lobes broad upcurved,<br />

midlobe ovate shortly bifid, edge crisped, white with pink central<br />

lines. Hab. Lankawi, Ayer Hangat (Curtis).<br />

(61) D. kentrochilum Hook. fit. F.B.I. vi. 731; Ie. Pl. 2030.<br />

Stems rather stout flexuous. Leaves broad elliptic coriaceous<br />

blunt, base very shortly narrowed, 3 in. long, 1 in. wide. Flowers<br />

'34 in. wide, cream colour. Upper sepal ovate blunt, laterals<br />

oblong blunt larger; mentum '36 in. long. Lip obovate slightly<br />

trilobed, claw medium with a retrorse spur. Column arms erect<br />

curved acute. Hab. Very rare. Perak, Batang Padang valley at<br />

2000 ft. altitude (Wray).<br />

Near D. sangltino!entum, but the leaves are quite different, the flower<br />

smaller, and the mentum short.<br />

Stems fairly stout, 1 to 2 ft. long, flexuous. Leaves lanceolate<br />

sub-acute, 2 in. long, '75 in. wide. Racemes 1 to 1'5 in. long.<br />

Flowers 4 to 6, showy, 1 in. across. Sepals ovate blunt, '2 in.<br />

long; mentum '75 in. long, terete, tip dilate curved. Petals broad<br />

ovate blunt, '5 in. long, all cream colour, tipped violet crimson.<br />

Lip shorter, base narrow with a reflexed spine-like callus, limb<br />

suddenly dilate, quadrate-round, edge waved, cream colour tipped<br />

violet-crimson with a central yellow patch.<br />

var. D. eerinum. D. cerinum Rehb. fil. Gard. ekron. xii. 554.<br />

Flowers entirely yellowish ochre. Both forms grow together on<br />

trees at about 2500 to 3000 ft. altitude. Hab. Selangor, Semangkok<br />

Pass. Penang Hill (Curtis). Kedah Peak. Distrib. Borneo.
