Fruit sub-globose, l'S in. through, purplish. Seeds flat, ovoid
elliptic .. Hab. Damp low-lying fields near rivers. Pahang at Renchong.
Setul and Perlis in old rice-fields. Kelantan, Kwala Lebir
and all along Kelantan River (Ridley). Jalor, Biserat (Gwynne­
Vaughan). Distrtb. India, Siam, Borneo.

4. EURYCLES, Salisb.
A bulbous plant. Leaves petiolate orbicular-cordate or ovaloblong
with distant veins and transverse veinlets. Flowers numerous
in an umbel, white. Involucral bracts 2 or 3 Ianceolate, floral
bracts linear. Perianth-tube funnel-shaped, tube slender, lobes
broad. Stamens shorter, connected by a petaloid cup (corona).
Anthers oblong, sagittate. Ovary 3-locular; ovules 2 in a cell.
