Sepals ovate or oblong subacute. Petals smaller oblong, all fleshcolour.<br />

Lip boat-shaped, edges incurved, keels 5, thick, terminal<br />

lobe sub-quadrate bilobed, flesh-rose-colour, base orange. Column<br />

oblong pink. Rostellum ovate acute. Hab. Perak (Curtis).<br />

Pseudo bulbs crowded elliptic or conic, 2 to 3 in. long, angled.<br />

Leaves 2, oblong-oblanceolate acute, 1 ft. long; petioles 13 in.<br />

long. Scape erect from base of pseudobulb, 8 in. tall, lower half<br />

nude green spotted red. Raceme dense, many-flowered. Bracts<br />

caducous elliptic, '5 in. long, green. Sepals ovate blunt apple<br />

green. Petals smaller oblong white. Lip base saccate, edge raised<br />

undulate, side-lobes broad, midlobe irregularly oblong rounded<br />

bifid, edge white. Column short, hood broad truncate retuse green.<br />

Anther orange semi-orbicular. Hab. Selangor, Semangkok Pass<br />

(Ridley).<br />

Terrestrial, climbing a short way up trees. Leaves few ovate<br />

lanceolate plicate. Scape terminal erect, sometimes branched;<br />

rachis with short stiff bracts. Flowers large. Sepals oblong subacute,<br />

laterals oblique gibbous at base. Petals falcate, oblanceolate.<br />

Lip concave, 3-lobed. Column long. curved, foot and arms<br />

absent. Anther helmet-shaped. Pollinia 2, elliptic acute, no disc.<br />

Species 2 or 3, Malayan.<br />

Rhizome long slender. Leaves in distant tufts, 6 to 12 in. long,<br />

1 to 2'5 in. wide, green mottled darker. Scape 6 in. tall; raceme<br />

lengthening to 6 in. with a long lanceolate leaf below it. Bracts<br />

'12 in. long. Flowers 1 in. long, green reticulately veined. Lip<br />

side-lobes long subacute, midlobe orbicular retuse, base pubescent<br />

a club-shaped ridge on disc. Capsule oblong, 3 in. long, '5 in.<br />

through. Hab. Common in dry woods. Singapore, Garden Jungle;<br />

Bajau. Johor, Kampong Simpai (Kelsall); Batu Pahat. Pahang,<br />

Tahan River. Malacca (Maingay). Negri Sembilan, Siliau and<br />
